Hepatitis A & B Combined (Paedia)

The combined Hepatitis A & B (Paedia) vaccine provides protection against two serious viral infections. Hepatitis A spreads through contaminated food or water, while Hepatitis B is transmitted through blood or bodily fluids. Vaccination is essential to protect children traveling to high-risk areas.

Countries at Risk

Hepatitis A and B are common in regions with poor sanitation, limited access to clean water, and higher prevalence of bloodborne infections. These include:

  • Hepatitis A: South Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Central and South America

  • Hepatitis B: Sub-Saharan Africa, East and Southeast Asia, the Pacific Islands

Children traveling to these regions, especially for extended stays or in rural areas, are at greater risk.
